Today I set the microwave on fire.

And then I made the best batch of chocolate-chip cookies that I've made in years.

It all evens out in the end, I guess.

So, I don't know how I got this into my head - maybe because I saw one of them perform solo on TV? - but I have thought for years that either Simon or Garfunkel was dead. I wasn't sure which one, but I knew one of them had died like in the late 80s or something.

Yeah, uh. They're totally both alive.

Uh, just FYI.

Things I did today:

1. Had a confused conversation with myself about what those lights on those poles were and what it meant when they turned green.
2. Watched a pigeon eat styrofoam.

Now I'm in the library, working on a paper. Fun times shall be had for all.

I went Barbie shopping today! Very fun. :) Except that I got to the aisle in the toy store, looked around a bit, and asked my mom, "So...were Barbies always this slutty, or did I just not notice?"

Evidently, I just hadn't noticed. Sigh. So finding a Barbie that didn't resemble a streetwalker and didn't also come with a peeing cat was kind of ( Read more... )
